Mediterranean filming spot: Route de la Moyenne Corniche-Monaco

This road linking Nice and Monaco is famous for its breathtaking panorama of the coast below. In the very first scene in Goldeneye, James Bond is driving an Aston Martin DB5 along that road of the French Riviera, we can spot the city of Monaco and the Mediterranean sea as well.

Mediterranean filming spot: Skopelos & Skiathos islands

Both islands are now breathing to the rythm of Dancing Queen since the movie Mamma Mia ! was shot there. In Skiathos , you will be welcome upon arrival in the harbour by the song Waterloo playing out loud as it happens in the first scene of the movie. But it is the island of Skopelos, renamed Kalokairi in the movie that became transfigured. These 2 islands offer breathtaking views over the Big Blue.

The village of St Tropez on the Mediterranean sea has been exposed to the front of the scene thanks to the legendary movie Et Dieu créa la femme and to his iconic actress Brigitte Bardot. Brigitte Bardot will buy La Madrague in 1958, her house on the road “des Canebiers” located in St Tropez, the village has been famous ever since and known throughout the world. A pleasant day trip by boat from Nice or Monaco.

Mediterranean filming spot: Ischia Ponte

Ischia is the biggest island in the Gulf of Naples. Ischia Ponte is a historic place as it is one of the oldest villages on the Island of Ischia : a flat place on earth underneath the valleys of Soronzano and Cartaromana which extends to the sea. Ischia Ponte is the place where the scene in which Ripley (Alain Delon) and Philippe (Maurice Ronet) arrive by boat in the famous movie Plein Soleil, that was shot in 1960.
